1. What this policy covers
The Voice Age Detector preview also provides local recording, playback, and acoustic measurements. It does not estimate age, upload recordings, or call an external age-estimation service. Its downloadable report contains measurements, not audio.
This Privacy Policy explains how the current SingingTest website handles information when you use its singing test, vocal range test, recording analysis, and practice exercises. It covers the tools provided on this website, including the practice journal stored in your browser. It does not cover an unrelated website or application you choose to use alongside SingingTest.
The central distinction is simple: your singing audio is processed on your device. Loading a website still involves requests for pages and other files. Those requests are separate from audio analysis and can reveal connection information to the provider serving the site. We describe both below instead of treating local audio processing as a promise of complete anonymity.
2. Microphone audio and selected files
The tools request microphone access only after you choose a recording or test action. Your browser controls that permission. Live audio is used to detect pitch and calculate the measurements shown on the page. The application does not send that audio to a SingingTest server, a transcription service, an advertising service, or a remote AI model.
When you choose an audio file, your browser reads that selected file for analysis and temporary playback. The application does not scan other files on your device. It does not upload your recording, build a voice identification profile, compare your identity with other people, or use your audio to train a model. No account or audio contribution is required to use these tools.
3. Temporary recordings and reports
Recordings, audio measurements, and playback references remain in the application’s working memory while you use the tool. A completed recording may remain available for playback until you replace it or leave the page. Cancelling or completing a microphone session stops the application’s use of the microphone; leaving the tool releases its active audio resources.
This is not a promise of forensic erasure from your operating system, browser, backups, or browser extensions. It describes what the application itself stores. A report you deliberately download becomes a separate file under your control. SingingTest cannot delete that downloaded copy, an original audio file, or copies you choose to share through another service.
4. The practice journal on your device
Completed practice sessions can create a local journal entry containing the date, exercise name, and score. The journal keeps up to twenty summaries and displays the most recent five. It does not include recordings, account information, or an online identifier. These summaries remain in this browser until you clear them, older entries are replaced, or the browser removes site data.
Use Clear history on the Practice page to remove the journal. You can also remove the site’s stored data through your browser settings. If you use a shared device, another person using the same browser profile may see those summaries. Private browsing, storage restrictions, a different device, or cleared browser data can make previous sessions unavailable; there is no cloud backup.
6. Website requests and hosting
When a public website serves a page, its hosting, delivery, and analytics providers receive information needed to answer their requests. This can include an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and a referring page when your browser sends one. Providers may use access, security, and analytics data to deliver content, measure use, diagnose problems, and protect the service. These requests do not contain your singing audio.
The operator and hosting details below distinguish the application’s local processing from any provider-side logging. Provider names, the applicable log retention period or deletion criteria, and any relevant international processing arrangements must be confirmed for the actual public deployment. The local preview does not establish what a future host will collect, and we do not assume that every host uses the same settings.
7. Information you choose to send us
If you contact the operator using the published contact address, the message may contain your email address, name, and anything you choose to include. That information can be used to answer the request, investigate a reported issue, and keep a necessary record of the correspondence. You do not need to send an audio recording to ask a general privacy question.
Contact messages are different from recordings analyzed inside the tool: deliberately attaching a file to an email sends it through your email provider to the recipient. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. Any email service and the retention criteria for support correspondence should be disclosed for the public service before that contact channel is offered.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You can decline microphone permission, cancel a session, leave a tool, clear the practice journal, or remove site data. You can revoke a saved microphone permission in the browser’s site settings. Refusing microphone access prevents live tests from working, but you can still read the guides and use a compatible local audio file on the recording-analysis page.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information held by the operator, and to object to certain processing. You may also be able to withdraw consent or complain to a relevant privacy regulator. Contact the operator with the request and enough context to identify the information concerned. We cannot retrieve local recordings or journal entries that were never sent to us.
10. Children, shared devices, and security
SingingTest is a general-purpose practice tool, not a service intended to collect personal information from children. A young user should have a parent or guardian’s help where needed to use microphone permissions and understand these choices. Do not send us a child’s personal details or recording unnecessarily. A guardian can clear local journal entries and revoke microphone access using the controls described above.
Local processing limits the need to transmit audio, but no website can control every risk on your device. Consider browser extensions, shared profiles, operating-system permissions, and where you save downloaded reports. Use an updated browser and a device you trust. The public site should use HTTPS so page requests are protected in transit; HTTPS does not control files you share elsewhere.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
If the tools or their data handling change, this Privacy Policy should change with them. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. A material change, such as adding remote audio analysis, accounts, or optional tracking, needs a clear explanation before the changed feature is used. A new policy should not be read as permission to use previously supplied information in an undisclosed way.
